Clinical observation at BHI means working alongside experienced electrologists while treating real clients. We believe there is nothing that can substitute for real-world experience. This clinical observation training isn’t like a final exam, it’s gradual and continues all the way through your Electrolysis Program. You’ll begin by watching consultations, then assist with setup, and eventually perform treatments yourself under direct supervision. Every step takes place in our on-site clinic with actual client appointments.

Learning in a Live Clinic Changes How You Practice

Most schools simulate client sessions. At BHI, from day one, you observe professionals using Apilus Senior 3G and xCell Pro devices on clients with different skin types, hair textures, and treatment needs. You see how they adjust current settings for fine facial hair versus coarse body hair, how they manage discomfort, and how they document each session.

You watch as practitioners use the Candela GentleLASE and GentleYAG systems for laser hair removal, learning how protocols shift based on Fitzpatrick skin type and hair color. You’re also present during intake discussions: how to ask about medications, hormonal changes, or previous trauma related to hair growth.

Then, when it’s your turn, you perform treatments on real clients under instructor guidance, building your skill through repetition, feedback, and accountability.
