Skin Disorders and Diseases Training
In our Skin Disorders and Diseases training, you’ll learn to tell the difference between conditions you can treat and serious issues that need a doctor, like infections, suspicious moles, or inflammatory diseases. You’ll study inflammatory conditions, infections, pigmentation issues, and abnormal growths, to recognize when something is outside your scope. Using visual learning materials and real case examples, you’ll practice identifying red flags and documenting observations properly. This is important knowledge taught in our Electrolysis Program that protects your clients, your license, and your reputation.

Skin Issues Show Up Differently and More Often
High humidity, year-round sun, and frequent sweating create the perfect environment for fungal infections, heat rashes, and UV-related changes that often mimic other skin conditions. In Tampa, clients often mistake melasma for sun spots or rosacea for acne, leading to ineffective or even harmful treatments if not properly assessed.
That’s why Florida employers prioritize estheticians who can conduct accurate skin analyses and know when to refer out. This training gives you that clinical eye, grounded in state board standards and real-world practice.

Our Skin Disorders and Diseases training goes beyond basic identification, it teaches you to recognize when a skin concern falls outside your scope of practice and requires medical attention. You’ll learn to spot conditions like rosacea, psoriasis, and fungal infections, understand their underlying causes, and know when to refer a client to a dermatologist.
This knowledge protects your clients, safeguards your license, and builds the kind of professional credibility that employers and patients trust.
