Hair Growth Biology Training
Hair growth follows a biological cycle shaped by hormones, environment, stress, and time. In Tampa, where humidity, sun exposure, and lifestyle factors intersect with genetics, clients are dealing with cycles that have been disrupted over months or years. As a key part of our Electrolysis and Laser Program, you’ll learn to observe the scalp closely and understand the biology of hair growth before you pick up your laser. You will be checking for thinning, texture, follicle density, inflammation, and patterns of shedding, so you can recognize what’s normal, what’s temporary, and what needs support.

Hair Concerns Are Rising in Florida’s Aesthetic Industry
More clients are seeking help for thinning hair, slow regrowth, and post-hormonal shedding. And not just for cosmetic reasons, but for confidence, too. With increased stress, climate changes, and dietary shifts, scalp health has become a frontline concern for both men and women.
Estheticians who understand the biology behind hair cycles aren’t just offering services, but becoming trusted advisors in a sensitive space where few are qualified to speak. To first treat hair problems, we need to fully understand them and their patterns.

Hair Growth Biology Highlights

- Apply low-level laser or microcurrent therapies appropriately

- Communicate timelines realistically – growth takes months, not weeks
Don’t Fix Hair Growth – Support It
What matters most about the biology of hair growth is knowing when growth is slowing down because of stress, when it’s thinning from hormones, or when it’s simply following its own natural rhythm.
Clients need someone who can look at their scalp and tell them what’s actually happening – not what they want to hear. At BHI, you’ll spend time observing real cases, tracking changes over weeks and months, and learning how to guide clients through this process with honesty, patience, and backed by science.
